TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. DEFINITIONS

The client: The person named on the booking form.

Hair Stylist: Katrina Kelly.

The agreement: The contract between the client and the hairstylist for the agreed fee.

The fee: The amount payable to the hairstylist by the client for the services listed above.

The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event of the wedding takes place. 

The party: Additional members of the bridal party.

 

2. THE BOOKING

To secure the booking of the event a non refundable booking fee of 30% of the agreed fee must be paid by the client to the hairstylist to secure the date of the event and to cover the time of services for pre planning of the event. 

A booking will only be secure once the hairstylist is in receipt of requisite booking fee.

Confirmation of receipt of payments will be sent to the client from the hairstylist.

A minimum booking of 4 adults is required.

Bank holidays and between Christmas and new year will incur a surcharge of £100

If an additional stylist is required for the event a charge of £50 per stylist is required. 

 

3. PAYMENT  

The client named on the booking form shall be held responsible for full and final settlement of the total agreed fee payable to the hairstylist.

Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted.

All trials are to be paid for on the day of the trial to the hairstylist.

If after the trial the client does not wish to go ahead, the booking fee can be refunded up to 7 days after trial date.

If the client cancels before the trial date the booking fee will not be refunded. 

Any outstanding balance payable in relation to the booking of the event shall be paid to the hairstylist no later than one month prior to the date of the event. 

 

3.1 TRIALS

All trials take place at the hair stylists bridal studio unless otherwise stated.

Weekends are exclusive to weddings, there are no Saturday or Sunday appointments for trials.

Payment for the trial shall be made at the time of a mutually agreed trial date, by bank transfer to the hair stylist.

Post trial questionnaires must be received no later than 48 hours after your trial to confirm you are happy to go ahead with the work your hair stylist has created for you.

Failure to complete the post trial questionnaire within this time frame shall result in the booking being cancelled.   

 

4. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLIENT

It is the clients responsibility to make the hairstylist aware of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or their bridal have prior to service. 

The hairstylist cannot be held responsible for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client's failure to inform the hairstylist of any known condition. 

If the event is directly affected by circumstances beyond the hairstylist control including but not limited to weather conditions or health and safety reasons, where possible the hairstylist will endeavor to rectify such situations, however no compensation will be offered by the hairstylist. It is strongly advised that the client take out wedding or event insurance to cover against these situations. 

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all members of the bridal party are available at their pre- arranged  and allocated times. No refund or compensation will be offered by the stylist for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests or members of the bridal party.

 

4.1 TIME SCHEDULES

All time schedules will be provided at time of booking where sufficient details are provided.

The client acknowledges that the final veil fitting services are to be completed at the agreed hair stylists finish time for the bride's hair styling according to the time schedule and no later.

 

 

5. TRAVEL AND PARKING

Travel of up to 5 miles depending on package choice from the hairstylists home is free of charge anything outside of this radius would incur a 50p per mile charge.

In circumstances when parking fees apply the client will be required to cover the charges.

 

6. PHOTOGRAPHY 

The client agrees that the hairstylist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the hairstylists website and social media pages. If you do not wish to give consent to this use of the work or your image, then you must confirm this by email within 14 days of entering into this agreement. 

 

7. CANCELLATIONS 

Notice of cancellation of any part or whole part of the agreed fee of the event must be given to the hairstylist at least one month prior to the date of the event. If less than one months notice is given, any outstanding balance shall be required to be made in full to the hairstylist. 

If you make the decision to cancel your event booking ,the following charges will apply.

The percentages are the proportions of the total agreed fee. 

12 weeks before the event 30%

8 weeks before the event 40%

6 weeks before the event 50%

4 weeks before the event 100%

 

7.1 CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS

 No less than 24 hours notice must be given in all circumstances relating to rescheduling or cancelling of pre-arranged appointments

No show on such appointments will result in any payments made in advance of the trial non refundable to cover the loss to the stylists earnings.

The trial payment is to secure the date and time for the delivery of the assignment and the preparation time required to deliver the assignment.

Pre payment will be required for future appointments booked with the stylist.

 

7.2 If the client seeks to cancel the event booking within 14 days of entering this agreement , then the deposit shall be repaid to the client in full. 

7.3 If the client seeks to cancel the event booking more than 14 days after entering this agreement the booking fee shall be forfeited, any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable. No further sums will be due from the client to the hairstylist. 

 

8. STYLIST

If the hairstylist is limited or hindered from providing services booked by the client due to circumstances beyond their control e.g government intervention, acts of God, civil disturbance, war, national or local disaster, strikes, labour disputes, then liability of the hairstylist to the client shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the services. The booking fee shall be non refundable (being an approximation of the value of the services already rendered for the pre planning of the event) and the hair stylist shall (where the value of the services already delivered to the client is greater than the value of the booking fee) be entitled to be paid additionally for all services delivered to the client up to that point. The hairstylist shall not be liable for any additional losses incurred by the clients in such circumstances. 

If the client unfortunately has to cancel the event, cancellations need to be made within 3 months of the event date in order to avoid the cancellation fee. 

 

8.1 In the unlikely event that your original hair stylist is ill or cannot attend your event we will find a replacement hair stylist that can do the event to the same standard.

In the event that we are unable to find a replacement hair stylist the client will be provided  a full refund of any fees paid.

 

 

9. POSTPONEMENT

If you decide to postpone your event to a future date the hairstylist will endeavor to transfer the booking across to the new date, subject to the hairstylists availability. If the hairstylist should have an existing secured booking on such date the booking fee shall be non refundable (being an approximation of the value of the services already rendered for the pre planning of the event) and the hair stylist shall (where the value of the services already delivered to the client is greater than the value of the booking fee) be entitled to be paid additionally for all services delivered to the client up to that point. The hairstylist shall not be liable for any additional losses incurred by the clients in such circumstances. 

If a postponement date is mutually agreed a 50 % balance of the outstanding agreed fee is due upon booking of the new date. 

 

10. GDPR

The hairstylist takes your privacy seriously and is fully GDPR compliant. You have provided the hairstylist with your contact details for correspondence regarding your event. The hairstylist will only use your personal information to administer your event booking and to provide the services you have requested. The hairstylist will not pass on or sell your details to any other organisation.   

 

11. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment of your non refundable booking fee to your hairstylist indicates your acceptance of the terms and conditions set out above.
